Workiva is offering a Technology Services Operations Intern role that supports the installation, maintenance, upgrades, and daily operations of network, server, and storage software. You will help keep systems reliable and improve how internal customers are served.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, handling alerts, and assisting with change management and knowledge documentation. Remote work is supported with optional office use in hubs.

The Technology Services Operations Intern will work on a team that oversees the installation, routine maintenance, upgrades, and daily support of network, server, and storage software. You will assist in the day-to-day operation of Workiva's systems and constantly look for ways to better meet internal customer needs.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, maintain, and enhance systems to ensure optimal performance
• Review system performance consistently, including alerts and notices, and take appropriate action quickly to prevent downtime
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain end-user computing and telecommunication systems
• Assist the Operations team through various activities, such as facilitating change management meetings, assembling knowledge documents, and helping with operations projects

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Network Administration, Accounting, or a related field of study

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
• The ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ability to quickly triage problems, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution
• Experience with AWS, networks, or servers

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

• Minimal travel
• Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
