This is a rare opportunity to step away from purely commercial drivers and instead focus on meaningful legal work that directly benefits Nottingham and its communities as a Solicitor (Commercial Property & Conveyancing). At Nottingham City Council, your work will help deliver homes, regeneration projects and long-term city development, making a visible difference to the place you live and work. You will join our busy and collaborative conveyancing and commercial property team, manage a varied caseload and work closely with colleagues across the Council. Your work will include:

• Residential conveyancing, including acquisitions and disposals (including Right to Buy)
• Commercial property and landlord & tenant work
• Development and regeneration projects
• General estates matters

You'll also play a key role in supporting and supervising junior colleagues, contributing to the development of the team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• Experience in residential conveyancing
• Experience across commercial property matters, including leases and acquisitions
• Ability to manage complex legal matters independently
• Understanding of local government or public sector context (or transferable experience)
• This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
