LawX, an early-stage Legal Tech startup in Berlin, seeks a mid-to-senior QA professional to help shape quality for an AI-driven system. You will test end-to-end functionality, UI/UX, and AI features, working closely with developers, product, design, and the care team. Primarily manual testing with automation experience a bonus.

We value hands-on QA experience in startups, familiarity with Java backends, and fluency in English. German speakers are a plus, and Berlin-based candidates are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of QA experience (mid-to-senior) in a startup.
• Strong functional and UI/UX testing background.
• Experience testing AI/LLM features and non-deterministic outputs.
• Familiarity with Java-based backends (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Comfortable with GitHub, Postman/Swagger, Jira/Notion.
• Hands-on with AI tools like Claude and Cursor.
• Working SQL knowledge.
• Fluent English; Russian bonus, German a plus.
• Based in Germany (Berlin preferred).

About the Role

We're looking for a mid-to-senior QA professional to be one of the first dedicated quality voices at LawX. You'll test our Java-based, AI-driven system end-to-end — functionality, UI/UX, and AI features alike — working closely with developers, product, design, and the care team. Primarily manual testing, with automation experience as a strong bonus.

What you will do

• Design and execute manual test cases based on user stories, PRDs, and Figma designs
• Perform full functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing across UI and backend
• Test AI-powered features, including LLM output quality and edge cases
• Test REST/JSON APIs via Postman, Swagger, and Kibana
• Track changes and link bugs via GitHub
• Use AI tools like Claude and Cursor in daily work
• Log and verify bugs in Jira or Notion
• Write basic SQL queries for data checks
• Help shape QA processes as we grow

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of QA experience (mid-to-senior), ideally at a startup
• Strong functional and UI/UX testing background
• Experience testing AI/LLM features and non-deterministic outputs
• Familiarity with Java-based backends (e.g., Spring Boot)
• Comfortable with GitHub, Postman/Swagger, Jira/Notion
• Hands-on with AI tools like Claude and Cursor
• Working SQL knowledge
• Fluent English; Russian a huge bonus, German a plus
• Based in Germany (Berlin preferred)
