To achieve this, our developers work closely with their Product team members to build and improve our industry-leading products. We are looking for someone to build, maintain, and refine our CRE marketing tools, regularly shipping backend (Rails) and frontend (React) features.
Multiple years of product software development experience within a SaaS company, or the ability to demonstrate you've learned enough in less time to still be a great engineer and valuable team member.
Engineering at Buildout is AI‑accelerated by default. Claude Code is our primary development agent with Claude and Cubic reviewing every PR. We expect AI to be embedded across your implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation work as repeatable workflows, not occasional autocomplete. We look for:
Tool logos don’t matter; if you’ve been deep in Cursor or Copilot, you’ll pick up Claude Code quickly.
90 days: You’re shipping production PRs within your first few weeks, with Claude Code embedded in your daily workflow, and you’ve delivered your first feature work under our milestone framework.
6 months: You own feature-level work end to end and you’re contributing meaningfully to our automated test coverage.
12 months: You’re trusted to scope and estimate large projects, and other engineers learn from your AI-assisted workflows and code reviews.
Location: This is a fully remote role open across most of the US.
Compensation: The targeted compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000.
