AWS Config and Config Rules have been leading this transition by providing insights into user activity, change tracking and automated security and compliance tools. We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join a highly respected team building one of the largest configuration audit platforms in the world. We are building agentic AI solutions that automate the end-to-end lifecycle of resource type onboarding - from research and schema authoring through testing, validation, and deployment. You'll work at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems and AI-driven automation, designing agents that can reason about AWS service APIs, author configuration schemas, and validate correctness with minimal human intervention. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
