Avaloq is seeking a Senior Test Manager to govern testing across Core Banking delivery initiatives. You will collaborate with Delivery Leads, Business Stakeholders, Development Teams and Release Management to ensure high-quality releases.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong ownership, and proactive risk management across SIT, UAT, and end-to-end testing in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifikationen

• 5-10 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance or Delivery Management.
• Proven delivery experience within Core Banking, Wealth Management or Financial Services.

• Define and own the overall test strategy, test planning, and resource management across projects and releases.
• Lead and coordinate SIT, End-to-End Testing, and support UAT execution.
• Ensure adequate test coverage for functional and non-functional requirements.

• Drive defect management, prioritisation, resolution, and risk escalation.

• Drive test automation, CI/CD-aligned quality practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop Test Leads, Test Engineers, and external testing resources while fostering a culture of accountability and quality excellence.

The Senior Test Manager – Core Banking Solutions is responsible for planning, coordinating and governing all testing activities across Core Banking delivery initiatives. The role ensures that software releases meet agreed quality standards and are delivered in a predictable, controlled and efficient manner.

The Senior Test Manager acts as the primary quality lead within a program or portfolio of projects and works closely with Delivery Leads, Business Stakeholders, Development Teams, Release Management and Clients to ensure successful test execution and release readiness.

This is a hands on delivery role requiring proactive leadership, strong ownership and active management of risks, defects, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Banking Technology or related field
• ISTQB Advanced Level, Agile Testing or equivalent certification preferred

Professional Experience

Language Requirements

Mandatory

• German (C2 / Native)
• English (C2 / Native or near-native business proficiency)
