Siemens Mobility is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and implement complex building automation solutions based on Desigo CC and SIMATIC S7/TIA Portal. You will collaborate with international teams, program in SCL/CFC/STL, and contribute to AI-driven engineering workflows.

The role requires a degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering, strong Siemens tool knowledge, and German/English language proficiency. A dynamic, inclusive workplace with global opportunities awaits.

Qualifikationen

• Education: degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Solid programming skills in SCL, CFC, and STL (AWL) with SIMATIC Manager and TIA Portal.
• Familiar with Profinet, Modbus, Profibus, and OPC UA.
• Experience programming Simatic S7 family modules: S7-1500/1200, S7-300/400.
• Knowledge of Desigo PX products is a plus.
• German and English language skills in cross-country teams.

• You not only evaluate different solution concepts but also define the scope of delivery.
• By programming innovative solutions in the fields of automation technology / energy management / industrial building automation that meet both customer and market requirements, you show what you're made of.
• You coordinate and develop applications with internal and external development departments based on the TIA Portal, complementing the Desigo CC building management platform.
• You actively help shape how Artificial Intelligence (AI) supports our engineering – from automated code generation to technical documentation and system comparisons.
• You can independently familiarize yourself with new topics and test them on your own.
• In doing so, you work with international colleagues from various locations.

This is how you'll win us over

• Education: You hold a completed degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Experience & Skills:
• You have solid programming skills in SCL, CFC, and STL (AWL), as well as confident handling of SIMATIC Manager and the TIA Portal; knowledge of the technology objects/tools is a plus.
• You are familiar with the common protocols used in automation technology – namely Profinet, Modbus, Profibus, and OPC UA.
• You are experienced in programming various modules of the Simatic S7 family (S7-1500/1200, as well as S7-300/400).
• Knowledge of industrial HVAC applications is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of Desigo PX products is a plus.
• Management systems or SCADA systems (e.g. WinCC) are also part of your repertoire.
• Languages: Through your work in cross-country, multicultural teams, you can demonstrate both your German and English language skills.
