Parametric Technology GmbH is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to drive pre-sales strategy for CAD and PLM solutions. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Partners, and Customer Success to address complex engineering and product development challenges through digital transformation initiatives.

This role blends deep technical expertise with superior customer engagement and presentation skills, delivering tailored demonstrations, leading technical evaluations, and supporting RFPs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of CAD/PLM experience in pre-sales, consulting, engineering, or implementation.
• Strong knowledge of product development and engineering processes.
• Experience with enterprise CAD platforms such as Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Inventor or similar solutions.
• Experience with PLM platforms such as Windchill, Teamcenter, ENOVIA, Aras or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of engineering change management, configuration management, BOM management, and product lifecycle processes.
• Experience leading software demonstrations, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% of the time.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the technical lead for CAD and PLM sales opportunities.
• Partner with Account Managers to develop technical sales strategies and support pipeline growth.
• Conduct customer discovery workshops to understand business challenges, product development processes, and digital transformation objectives.
• Deliver compelling demonstrations of CAD and PLM solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, proof-of-concepts, and solution validations.
• Support responses to RFPs, RFIs, and technical proposals.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the buying cycle.
• Provide guidance on CAD, PLM, Digital Thread, engineering collaboration, and product development best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to share customer feedback and market requirements.
• Support partner enablement activities and joint customer engagements.
• Participate in industry events, customer meetings, and workshops to represent PTC's technical expertise.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the Solutions Consulting organization.

Working closely with Sales, Product, Partners, and Customer Success teams, this individual helps customers solve complex engineering and product development challenges through digital transformation initiatives. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for CAD and PLM sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience working with CAD and PLM solutions in a pre‑sales, consulting, engineering, or implementation capacity.
• Strong knowledge of product development and engineering processes.
• Experience with enterprise CAD platforms such as Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Inventor or similar solutions.
• Experience with PLM platforms such as Windchill, Teamcenter, ENOVIA, Aras or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of engineering change management, configuration management, BOM management, and product lifecycle processes.
• Experience leading software demonstrations, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to engage both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20‑30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Digital Thread and Digital Engineering initiatives.
• Understanding of ERP, MES, ALM, IoT, or Manufacturing solutions and integrations.
• Experience within Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Electronics, or Medical Device industries.
• Familiarity with SaaS and cloud‑based engineering platforms.
• Previous experience supporting enterprise software sales cycles and strategic accounts.
