osapiens Services GmbH in Munich seeks a Senior Solution Engineer focused on the CPG & Retail vertical. You own the industry solution scope, create vertical demos, and drive end-to-end POCs while collaborating with Account Executives.

Required are 4+ years in solution engineering for B2B SaaS, deep SAP/ERP knowledge, and native/near-native German with English fluency. This role offers hybrid work in Munich and travel to clients across the DACH region.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years experience in solution engineering, presales, consulting (tech focused) or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS.
• Understanding of value chain, operating model, regulatory pressures and digital landscape of your industry.
• Ownership of complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including POCs and security reviews; comfortable with deal sizes north of €250K.
• Strong technical fluency: REST APIs, SAP, identity management (SSO), cloud architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and basic data modeling.
• Sharp business acumen: mapping regulatory/operational pain to ROI, TCO and deployment roadmaps for CFO sign-off.
• AI is part of your operation: using AI to accelerate research, demos and RFP work.
• Proactive, structured, calm under pressure; comfortable in front of a board and in a Postman session.
• German at native/near-native level; English fluency required.
• Based in the DACH region or willing to travel ~25–35% to clients.

• Design and deliver vertical-tailored demonstrations of the osapiens HUB with industry-specific KPIs.

• Navigate customer integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems relevant to your vertical.
• Own functional RFPs, RFIs and IT-integration topics.
• Maintain the competitive picture and a strong reference base for the vertical.
• Represent osapiens at industry events and client advisory boards.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on deal strategy and multi-threading.
• Provide industry insights back to Product for roadmap alignment.
• Mentor junior SEs and contribute to enablement content.

Description

As Senior Solution Engineer with an industry focus, you are osapiens’ technical voice for one vertical - CPG & Retail, Discrete Manufacturing & Automotive, or Process Manufacturing, Healthcare & Utilities. You sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our Account Executives in front of Heads of Sustainability, Procurement leaders, Supply Chain Leaders and IT - translating intricate compliance and efficiency requirements into a clear vision of how the osapiens HUB will deliver value for a company like theirs, in their industry.

You walk in already knowing the regulatory pressures, supply chain shape, ERP landscape and peer benchmarks of your industry. You own the full breadth of the osapiens HUB for that vertical, and carry industry intelligence back into Product so the roadmap stays sharp where it counts.

Your Responsibilities

What You will Do

• Be the Solution Engineering owner of your assigned industry’s enterprise opportunities at osapiens. Accountable from tailoring platform deep dive until the prospect is convinced and has decided in favor of osapiens. You translate companies challenges with regards to supply chain resilience, reporting, carbon management, product compliance, asset operations, and track and trace into concrete solution scope.
• Design and deliver vertical-tailored demonstrations of the osapiens HUB - built on realistic industry scenarios, terminology and KPIs, not generic showcases. Connect to Solution-Suite SEs for deep specialist support.
• Own end-to-end proofs-of-concept anchored in your industry’s value drivers.
• Confidently navigate customer integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems that matter in your vertical.
• Be the trusted owner of functional RFPs, RFIs, and IT-Integration topics.
• Own the competitive picture in your industry, and curate the reference base that closes deals in the vertical.
• Represent osapiens at industry events, customer advisory boards and analyst briefings for your vertical.
• Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy, multi-threading and stakeholder mapping; coach AEs on technical and value proposition talk-tracks.
• Feed structured industry insights back to Product - what we win with and why we lose, which competitors outposition us and how, what we need next on the roadmap to lead the vertical.
• Mentor more junior SEs, contribute to enablement content and battle-cards, and help us scale the SE function as we grow.

Your Experience

We’re intentionally looking for people who have seen and thrived in fast-moving environments:

• 4+ years experience in solution engineering, presales, consulting (tech focused) or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS, with a clear footprint in your target industry.
• Bring understanding of the value chain, operating model, regulatory pressures and digital landscape of your industry.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including POCs and security reviews; comfortable with deal sizes north of €250K deal size.
• Strong technical fluency: REST APIs, SAP, identity management (SSO), cloud architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and basic data modeling.
• Sharp business acumen: comfortable mapping a regulatory or operational pain to ROI, TCO and a deployment roadmap a CFO will sign off on - in the KPIs of your industry.
• AI is part of how you already operate: you routinely use Ai to compress research, demo prep and RFP work, and you have a clear point of view on how to build the best AI-driven version of your role.
• Proactive, structured, calm under pressure - equally comfortable in front of a board and in a Postman session.
• German at native/near-native level is a must; English fluency required.
• Based in the DACH region; alternatively, based elsewhere in Europe with strong willingness to travel (~25–35%) to clients across the region.

• Recognized presence in your industry: trade-event speaker, working-group contributor, or alumni of a leading company in the vertical.
• Domain expertise in Supplier Intelligence, Carbon Accounting, Reporting, Traceability and Product compliance.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Coupa or ServiceNow, plus industry-specific platforms relevant to your vertical.
• Exposure to Agentic AI in enterprise SaaS.
• Prior experience scaling SE teams or building enablement programs.
• Italian, Spanish or French language skills.
