Zusammenfassung

Trusted Shops is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Cologne (hybrid) or Berlin (remote). You will help build the trust layer for agentic and human commerce, focusing on credential issuance, verification, and service design.

You will own API contracts, data models, and cross‑platform Web Components, with AWS deployment and CI automation. The role offers a permanent contract and a flexible hybrid work setup across Europe.

Qualifikationen

• Experience designing and building APIs and services for trusted credentials.
• Proficient with AWS services, Terraform tooling, and cloud infrastructure patterns.
• Familiarity with OpenID Connect, verifiable credentials, and WebAuthn concepts.

Aufgaben

• Design and build APIs and services behind our Trust Authority including credential issuance, verification, refresh and revocation.
• Develop cross‑platform Web Components and integration points.
• Work with open identity standards such as OAuth2/OIDC, passkeys, Verifiable Credentials, did:web, Web Bot Auth.
• Own system design, data models, API contracts and ensure reliable production deployments on AWS.
• Automate testing and CI pipelines (Playwright) from end to end.
• Take ideas to production and maintain system health.

To strengthen our Engineering Team, we are looking for a

Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Cologne (hybrid) or Berlin (remote) | Permanent Contract (Full‑time)

We're building the trust layer for agentic & human commerce: a Trust Authority that issues and verifies credentials for AI agents acting on behalf of consumers and shops. The protocol, the APIs and the UI - you would be a core engineer on it.

Your Key Responsibilities as a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d):

• Design and build the APIs and services behind our Trust Authority - credential issuance, verification, refresh and revocation.
• Develop cross‑platform Web Components
• Work with open identity standards such as OAuth2 / OIDC, passkeys, Verifiable Credentials, did:web, Web Bot Auth
• Own the system design - service boundaries, data models, API contracts - and make the calls that others build on.
• Build and run it on AWS with Terraform (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, KMS), including monitoring and alerting.
• Ingest and analyse agent traffic, and turn raw signals into something we can act on.
• Own our automated testing: build the end‑to‑end, contract and visual regression suites in CI (Playwright) from scratch, so we release without manual regression checks.
• Take features from an unclear idea to production and keep them healthy.

Nice-to-haves:

• Keycloak, Verifiable Credentials, DIDs, WebAuthn / passkeys, or HTTP message signatures.
• Event‑driven architecture (SNS / SQS) or data pipelines.
• Web Components (Lit) - parts of our team ship UI that runs inside our customers' websites.
