Remotely is seeking a software engineer to own the integration backbone of client projects, connecting RESTful APIs, webhooks, and middleware across ERP systems and data warehouses. You will deliver production code, write OpenAPI specs, build a reusable integration pattern library in Confluence, and advise client teams on integration architecture.
The bar is zero critical integration failures in year one. Join a team that values reliable delivery, crisp documentation, and scalable patterns.
You'll own the integration backbone of our client projects: the RESTful APIs, webhooks, and middleware that connect HubSpot, ERP systems, data warehouses, and the long tail of third‑party platforms our clients run.
Today this work is squeezed between Senior and Principal engineers who are committed to delivery and AI initiatives. You free that bottleneck. You'll ship production code, write the OpenAPI specs that go with it, build a reusable integration pattern library, and advise client teams on integration architecture decisions. The bar is zero critical integration failures in your first 12 months.
You'll join the Development Team within our Development & Technology Practice. You'll report directly to the Director Development & Technology, since the Team Lead Development seat is currently TBD. Day-to-day, you'll work alongside Senior and Principal engineers on the same Practice, the AI team for agentic and LLM‑driven integrations, the Tech Consulting team for architecture handoffs, and PMs from the PMO Practice on delivery.
A cover letter is optional, but a concrete example of the most complex API integration you've personally built end-to-end (the system landscape, the integration pattern you chose, what broke, and how you fixed it) is required.
