Abnormal AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Adaptive Classifications Team, owning the end-to-end architecture of AI-driven security tools. The role covers backend, frontend, storage, and distributed systems, with a focus on scalable, reliable Python/Go services.
You will collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive roadmaps, mentor junior staff, and deliver high-impact features for the AI Security Mailbox and Detection 360 products.
Abnormal AI is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Adaptive Classifications Team. The team owns and operates Abnormal’s AI Security Mailbox and Detection 360 products. The team’s goal is to automate security analysts’ workflows by providing them with reliable, intuitive, and delightful agentic products that give them back time in their day.
This is a full-stack team responsible for all layers, including data storage, detection efficacy, backend, and frontend. The ideal candidate will have worked across the stack and have in-depth knowledge about backend systems, distributed computing, and event-driven architecture.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Base salary range:
$179,800—$258,500 USD
