Peritus Partners is seeking a Founding Engineer to join our core tech team in Germany. You will build AI-driven workflows and design scalable platform components, taking ownership from day one.

You’ll work across the stack with a hands-on approach, shaping technical direction, architecture, and collaboration with enterprise customers in a small, senior team. This is a high-impact, equity-backed opportunity, mostly remote with our Berlin office and occasional travel.

Qualifikationen

• Strong commercial experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Proficiency in Python, and ideally TypeScript.
• Experience building modern web applications and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, retrieval techniques, and performance trade-offs.
• Background in building, evaluating, or monitoring complex distributed or AI-driven systems.

Our client is recruiting Founding Engineers to join the existing core engineer team on a 5M funded AI business at a pivotal growth stage. The company operates with a small, senior team (currently 13 people).

The platform supports procurement and commercial teams by transforming complex supplier and pricing data into actionable intelligence. They are already delivering measurable savings for clients and are now scaling a complex technical roadmap across AI agents, real-time supplier data reasoning, and large-scale evaluation systems.

This is a hands-on role for engineers who want genuine ownership. You’ll be involved in setting technical direction, building foundational systems, and helping define how engineering operates as the company scales. The setup is collaborative and fast-moving, with frequent interaction with end users.

The role:

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll work across the stack to design and deliver core platform capabilities, with a particular focus on intelligent, automated workflows.
