Avandra Imaging is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale its healthcare data platform. You will design, develop, and maintain production systems using Elixir and Python, and own critical components of the imaging data marketplace.

You will collaborate with product and data teams, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced startup environment. A hybrid work model and strong growth opportunities are offered.

About the Job

As a Senior Software Engineer ,help build and scale a category-defining healthcare data platform and you will have experience in Elixir and/or Python. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the systems that power our imaging data marketplace and enable healthcare innovation at scale.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who thrives in an early-stage environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and takes ownership of outcomes. What You’ll Do

Software Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using Elixir and Python.
• Build and support both early-stage and mature production systems that power Avandra’s imaging data platform.

What You’ll Need

Required

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building and deploying production‑grade applications using Elixir and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Experience developing and maintaining scalable distributed systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects and manage competing priorities.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with evolving technologies.

Preferred

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers or serving in a technical leadership capacity.
• Experience working within healthcare technology, health data, medical imaging, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with data‑intensive applications, APIs, and large‑scale platform development.
