The candidate must have a strong skill set in hydraulics, hydrology, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as a working knowledge of GIS principles.

This position will be based in Corvallis, Oregon. Those located outside of Corvallis will be considered, though regular travel to Corvallis is expected. Projects will include sites throughout the Pacific Northwest and will entail occasional travel to assess project sites, collect field data, meet with clients, and provide construction inspection. This is a full-time, regular, benefits-eligible role with the flexibility to work in hybrid capacity.

Candidates with professional licensure and more than eight years of experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation and job title will be based on one’s background, licensure and certifications, and years of experience.

Application deadline: Our team will begin reviewing applications immediately, and interviews will be scheduled with qualified candidates on a rolling basis. The application process will remain open until we have received a robust pool of qualified candidates. Once we have identified suitable individuals, we may close the application process without prior notice. We appreciate the time and effort invested by all applicants and will carefully consider each submission.

What you will accomplish
  • Participate in the engineering design, reporting, and development of construction plans for the above listed ecosystem restoration project types.
  • Participate in field work to assess existing site conditions, assess reference reach sites, and perform topographic, bathymetric, and engineering surveys.
  • Develop construction plans within the AutoCAD Civil 3D platform.
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic assessments, modeling, and analysis in support of the above listed projects using HEC-RAS or similar platforms.
  • Support construction oversight for project implementation including survey staking and design layout, design compliance and environmental compliance, and monitoring.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Drive compliance of safety policies and reporting requirements to ensure overall team safety.
  • Attend and participate in annual internal design training meetings to support personal skills growth and career planning.
