Primetals Technologies Germany GmbH, part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, invites an experienced Senior Project Design Engineer to join the Erlangen location. You will lead technical projects, design MV/HV power distribution concepts for steel plants, and collaborate with customers across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a degree in high/medium voltage systems, 7+ years in MV/HV substation design, and hands-on experience with ETAP, EPLAN, SINCAL, MATLAB/SIMULINK, plus fluent German

Qualifikationen

• Degree in high/medium voltage distribution systems with focus on MV/HV substations.
• At least 7 years' experience in MV/HV substations design.
• Experience with ETAP, EPLAN, SINCAL, MATLAB SIMULINK or similar.
• Good written and spoken German and English.

Aufgaben

• Technical project manager / system integrator for MV/HV power supply projects.
• Develop power supply concepts for steel plants and rolling mills.
• Size distribution transformers.
• Select MV/HV switchgears and cables.
• Develop substation SCADA protection concepts.
• Design substation secondary circuits (basic and detail engineering).
• Power systems harmonics analysis, short circuit and load flow analysis.
• Coordinate the developed concept with customers.
• Support in pre-projects, in sales activities and in day-to-day business.

What You Can Look Forward To

• Technical project manager / system integrator for MV/HV power supply projects

  • Develop plant power pupply single line diagrams
  • Sizing of distribution transformers
  • Selection of MV and HV switchgears and cables

Your Qualifications and Skills

• You have a degree in the field of high and medium voltage distribution systems with a focus on the design of MV/HV substations
• You have at least 7 years of professional experience in the field of MV/HV substations design
• You have experience in design tools ETAP, EPLAN, SINCAL, MATLAB SIMULINK or similar
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Experience on sizing of STATCOM or harmonic filters highly appreciated
• Relay settings and coordination calculations highly appreciated
• Willingness to learn, an independent, structured way of working, reliability, high quality awareness and the ability to work in a team round off your profile
