Amgen is now preparing to enter the obesity market. Its lead candidate, MariTide, is in Phase 3 development and has shown competitive weight-loss efficacy, a strong safety profile, and a convenient dosing interval. The Phase 3 MARITIME program is studying MariTide in obesity and overweight and in obesity-related conditions—including type 2 diabetes, heart failure, obstructive sleep apnea, and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease—alongside a broader pipeline of oral and injectable, incretin and non-incretin approaches. To move with speed, Amgen has stood up a dedicated organization focused on obesity and related conditions. Headquartered in Thousand Oaks, California, Amgen employs roughly 31,500 people worldwide and reported $36.8 billion in total revenue in 2025.
This role will support the U.S. launch of MariTide, Amgen is building a Direct-to-Patient (DTP) channel that operates alongside traditional access pathways. The model combines digital intake, telehealth-enabled care, and end-to-end fulfillment into a single, integrated experience that routes patients across cash-pay and reimbursed options based on their needs and coverage.
Reporting to the Executive Director, US Direct-to-Patient Lead, the Senior Program Manager drives the execution and launch readiness of this model. Where the Executive Director sets the strategy and operating model, the Senior Program Manager turns that direction into an integrated, well-governed program: Orchestrating the cross-functional build, owning the plan and critical path, and ensuring every workstream and partner is ready for launch. This is a high-visibility role at the center of a fast-moving, highly regulated program where execution directly affects patient conversion, adherence, and long-term franchise growth.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
