This role leads the strategy, development, and delivery of innovative K--12 science learning experiences.

You'll define product vision and roadmaps while balancing long-term portfolio opportunities with immediate educator and student needs.

Working across curriculum, design, learning science, engineering, marketing, and other functions, you'll turn ambitious ideas into classroom-ready products.

You'll own measurable business and product outcomes, using research, market intelligence, and data to guide priorities and investment decisions.

The role combines strategic product leadership with hands‑on execution across complex, cross‑functional initiatives.

You'll also explore opportunities to incorporate AI, personalization, automation, and predictive capabilities into learning experiences.

Success means delivering products that create meaningful value for teachers and students while strengthening engagement, growth, and market differentiation.

Accountabilities
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and 12--18 month roadmap for the science curriculum, aligning near‑term customer needs with broader business objectives and contributing insights to longer‑term portfolio planning.
  • Establish quarterly OKRs and product‑level success metrics, monitor performance, and use structured review cycles to improve customer engagement, retention, revenue, and team outcomes.
  • Lead products through established stage‑gate processes, owning analysis, deliverables, investment considerations, and cross‑product planning in partnership with senior product leadership.
  • Plan and execute customer research, develop product concepts, and translate business goals into detailed quarterly release and execution plans.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to define physical product specifications, balancing instructional quality, classroom durability, safety, brand requirements, and margin objectives.
  • Advocate continuously for teachers and students through interviews, focus groups, observations, quantitative analysis, and other research methods that inform product priorities.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and broader education‑industry trends to identify market gaps, differentiators, and opportunities for future releases.
  • Own the complete product lifecycle from ideation and requirements through development, launch, professional learning strategy, organizational readiness, and post‑launch iteration.
  • Lead execution across multiple teams, facilitate product ceremonies, remove blockers, and provide teams with clear context, priorities, goals, and sprint direction.
  • Influence senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and other functions to build alignment around product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience teams on positioning, training, messaging, and go‑to‑market readiness.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to apply AI, including personalization, automation, and predictive capabilities, and collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate feasibility and bring valuable AI experiences to market.
  • Partner with Research & Measurement and Data Science teams to evaluate hypotheses, measure releases, and use insights to continuously refine product strategy.
  • Mentor APMs and PMs, share product management expertise, and contribute to a culture of high performance, curiosity, speed, honesty, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 8 years of product management experience, ideally within a high‑growth SaaS, education technology, consumer technology, or similarly dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and direct experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success operating in startup or growth environments where priorities evolve quickly and individuals are expected to take significant ownership.
  • Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of complex products, from product vision and discovery through launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams, create structure amid ambiguity, and align stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts, tell compelling product stories, and build confidence with senior leadership.
  • Strong customer orientation and experience using qualitative research, quantitative analysis, and market intelligence to inform product decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, metrics, and experimentation to evaluate product performance and guide strategic decisions.
  • Comfort working with technically complex products and partnering effectively with engineering and other technical teams.
