Kleinanzeigen is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Data to own the lifecycle of data products from ideation to retirement. You will collaborate with P&T, business, and analytics leads to prioritize initiatives, work with Berlin and Barcelona teams, and drive value through data-driven product strategies.

You will oversee data management, governance, and roadmap execution, focusing on privacy, security, and scalable data platforms to maximize organizational value.

As a Senior Product Manager, Data you will own the lifecycle of data products for some Kleinanzeigen business areas, from ideation to retirement, that drive business value and support organizational objectives. You will collaborate closely with the stakeholders from P&T, business, and analytics leads to identify the data needs, challenges, and initiatives prioritization related to data products. And, you will work day-to-day with data engineering manager, data product developers, and analysts across Berlin and Barcelona. Leveraging your expertise in data management, analytics, and product management, you will oversee, define and manage the roadmap for the entire lifecycle of data products, from ideation and design to value maximization and retirement. Your role will involve strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to maximize the value and effectiveness of data products across the organization.

Job requirements

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in product management, data management, or analytics roles, owning the end-to-end lifecycle of data-driven products.
• Solid understanding of data management and data engineering concepts (modelling, quality, lineage, orchestration).
• Knowledge of privacy and data protection principles (GDPR, access control, data contracts).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex data needs into actionable plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira (required), and experience with product or data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Databricks).

Nice to have

• Experience working in a marketplace or consumer internet environment.
• Background in distributed data architecture.
• Experience leading or collaborating across multi-location teams (Berlin, Barcelona).

• Translate requirements into use cases and measurable success criteria; define schemas, data contracts, SLOs, and documentation.
• Lead delivery with engineering, ensuring validated designs, clear milestones, timely releases, and quality outcomes.
• Manage data as a product — ensuring it is addressable, accessible, secure, discoverable, interoperable, trustworthy, understandable, and valuable.
• Monitor and optimise data product usage, costs and performance; identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous iteration.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and privacy policies (including GDPR).
• Communicate clearly: share updates, milestones, and insights through transparent reporting in Jira.
• Foster collaboration: build strong partnerships across engineering, analytics, and business; promote data-driven decision-making and data literacy within teams.
