Zusammenfassung

Huawei Ohm Research Center (Nuremberg) seeks a Senior/Principal Engineer for Vehicle Dynamics Control Algorithm. You will analyze requirements, design architecture, and develop chassis control algorithms for advanced electric drive applications, including MB design, HIL testing with dSPACE, and collaboration with embedded software teams.

Qualifikationen

  • Master's degree in vehicle engineering or automatic control (PhD preferred).
  • Experience in algorithm and SW development in chassis controls (ESC, ABS, TCS, AES).
  • Strong fundamentals of vehicle dynamics and physics/mathematics.
  • Proficient in classical/modern control theory and model predictive control.
  • Proficient in IPG Carmaker and model-based development (MBD).
  • C language programming and embedded software understanding.
  • Experience with functional safety development is a plus.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

  • Analyze requirements, design architecture, and develop control algorithms per system specs.
  • Develop chassis control algorithms for new technologies and mass production projects.
  • Deliver end-to-end work packages within projects and perform MB/HD tests.
  • Use MBD methods (Matlab/Simulink) for modeling and verification, including road testing.
  • Build hardware-in-the-loop platforms with dSPACE/AutoBox for rapid prototyping.
  • Lead design reviews, verify functions, evaluate performance, and rectify issues.
  • Support vehicle tests/evaluations and assist embedded software transfer of algorithms.

Huawei Ohm Research Center (Nuremberg) is responsible for Network Energy Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning. The Huawei Automotive Electric Control Technology Laboratory will play an important role in the Huawei Digital Power Business Unit in the advanced electric drive control, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of automotive applications such as drivetrain, DC-AC inverter and fusion driving component, advanced AI/cloud technology, etc. As an employee you will be part of the HUAWEI Automotive R&D Competence Center in Nuremberg.

Senior/Principal Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics Control Algorithm (m/f/d)

Your mission

  • Conduct algorithm requirement analysis, architecture design and detailed design according to system functional requirements and architecture design
  • Responsible for chassis control algorithm development, domestic and foreign new technology research, development and application
  • Responsible for end to end development of work package within overall project.
  • Follow the model-based design method MBD to develop and verify the algorithm model, including Matlab/Simulink modeling, simulation, road test, etc.
  • Use dSPACE/AutoBox to build hardware-in-the-loop test platforms and road test platforms for rapid prototype to develop control algorithm and support function safety development
  • Responsible for the design review, function verification, performance evaluation and rectification of related problems of the control algorithm
  • Support vehicle performance tests and evaluation, assist to complete system performance bench test and vehicle evaluation. In addition, assist the embedded software engineer to complete the embedded code transplantation
  • Debug vehicle control algorithm to solve field problems and create reports and documents related to the development of control algorithms
  • Support the failure mode analysis, related to system development confirmation algorithm and support the development of system functions
  • Support to match engineer's parameter calibration in vehicle environment, to meet customer requirements
  • Formulate and optimize modeling specifications and processes, participate in technical review and capacity building
Your areas of expertise
  • You hold a Master degree in vehicle engineering, automatic control or any other related field (Ph.D. preferred)
  • Experience in algorithm and SW development in the field of chassis controls(ESC, ABS, TCS , AES etc.), with experience in mass production projects.
  • Strong fundamentals of vehicle dynamics and the underlying physics and mathematics.
  • Proficient in classical and modern control theory, model predictive control, supervised learning, state observers and other common control methods
  • Proficient in using IPG Carmaker and others for modeling and simulation, code generation and capable of model-based development (MBD).
  • Skilled in C language programming design and debugging, familiar with embedded software development and you own a certain understanding of hardware design
  • Experience with functional safety development being able to control vehicle in the unstable region is a plus.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, working language
