Phoenix, a leading UK IT solutions and managed service provider, is seeking a Senior Microsoft Licensing Specialist to support Public Sector customers with expert licensing advice, commercial guidance, and compliance support across Microsoft's licensing programmes.

You will act as a trusted licensing advisor, translate complex licensing requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and deliver licensing consultations, workshops, and renewal discussions to ensure value-driven

Qualifikationen

  • Proven experience in Microsoft licensing and licensing programmes.
  • Strong understanding of licensing compliance, renewals, entitlement reviews and optimisation.
  • Experience supporting Public Sector customers.
  • Ability to interpret complex licensing requirements and provide commercial guidance.
  • Excellent communication, customer engagement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused, consultative and solution-oriented approach.

Due to continued growth, we are hiring a new Senior Microsoft Licensing Specialist to to support our Public Sector customers with expert licensing advice, commercial guidance, and compliance support across Microsoft's licensing programmes.

What will you be doing?
  • Act as a trusted Microsoft licensing advisor for Public Sector customers
  • Provide expert guidance on Microsoft licensing models, product entitlements, and programme requirements
  • Support customers in making informed licensing decisions that align with organisational objectives, digital transformation strategies, and budget constraints
  • Deliver customer-facing licensing consultations, workshops, and renewal discussions
  • Interpret and simplify complex licensing requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience through responsive, accurate, and proactive licensing support
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of Microsoft's evolving licensing programmes, products, and policies
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer outcomes.

What are we looking for?

The right person for this role will have strong Microsoft licensing expertise, experience supporting Public Sector customers, and the ability to translate complex licensing requirements into clear, value-driven outcomes. They will be customer-focused, commercially aware, and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to managing priorities, stakeholders, and licensing activities.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in Microsoft licensing and licensing programmes.
  • Strong understanding of licensing compliance, renewals, entitlement reviews and optimisation.
  • Experience supporting Public Sector customers.
  • Ability to interpret complex licensing requirements and provide commercial guidance.
  • Excellent communication, customer engagement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Practical stuff
Where is the role based?

Primary location is our HQ in Pocklington (YO42) but this role can be remote with occasional visits to the HQ and to customers
