You will translate complex medical information into impactful communications for healthcare professionals, patients and the public, shaping medical education programs and engagement initiatives.

Aufgaben

• Analysis and strategic processing of complex medical and scientific content and data
• Assisting in the development of medical and scientific concepts and advising on strategies in national and international contexts
• Creating factually sound medical content in German and English for HCPs, patients, and the general public across media relations, continuing education, and HCP marketing
• Strong expertise in commercial copywriting for HCP sell-in and sell-out materials (branding, claims, corporate wording, campaigns)
• Creation of content for social media and communities (professionals/laypeople)
• Collaboration with consultants, creative professionals, and digital experts as part of an international team

Senior Medical Expert | Healthcare Communications

Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a Senior Medical Expert with a strong background in life sciences, medicine, or a related scientific discipline and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a healthcare communications, medical communications, or healthcare PR agency environment. This role combines scientific expertise with strategic consulting and content development, requiring the ability to translate complex medical and scientific information into impactful communications for diverse audiences.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing medical communication strategies, educational initiatives, and engagement programs for healthcare professionals, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary and international teams. Experience in medical education, healthcare professional marketing, and commercial healthcare communications is highly desirable.

Your Responsibilities

• Analysis and strategic processing of complex medical and scientific content and data
• Assisting in the development of medical and scientific concepts and advising on medical content strategies in national and international contexts
• Creating factually sound medical content in German and English for various target audiences (HCPs, patients, the general public), ranging from media relations (specialist and general public PR) and continuing education programs to HCP marketing
• Strong expertise in commercial copywriting for HCP sell-in and sell-out materials (branding, claim development, corporate wording, campaign development) is desirable
• Creation of content for social media and communities (professionals/laypeople)
• Collaboration with consultants, creative professionals, and digital experts as part of an international team

Your Profile

• Master's degree in a science or medical field; a Ph.D. in this area is preferred
• Extensive experience in scientific communications at an agency and/or in the pharmaceutical industry
• Proven experience in medical writing and medical education - experience in medical consulting is a plus
• Experience working with clients and scientific thought leaders is a plus
• Independent and results-oriented work style
• Excellent writing style and communication skills; journalistic experience is a plus
• Excellent written and spoken German, as well as business-level English
• Passion for medical topics and the healthcare industry
• Curiosity and a passion for communication
