Motive Partners is seeking an experienced consultant to shape the financial services landscape in Frankfurt. You will advise banks, asset managers, and exchanges on strategic topics, design innovative post-trade strategies, and drive operational excellence across settlement and collateral workflows.

With 4–7 years of relevant experience and a strong regulatory background, you will lead cross-functional projects, engage with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to digital transformation

Qualifikationen

• 4–7 years of experience in financial services consulting.
• Strong understanding of market mechanisms and post-trade operations.
• Familiarity with T+1 Settlement, MiFID II, CSDR, Basel III is a plus.
• Well-established professional network across banks, asset managers, and market infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Advise banks, asset managers, and exchanges on strategic matters to help them streamline their operations and enhance settlement efficiency.
• Design and implement innovative strategies for seamless trade processing, clearing, and settlement to optimize overall processes.
• Optimize post-trade workflows by improving collateral management, custody, and reconciliation processes to maximize efficiency.
• Navigate complex regulatory frameworks (such as T+1 Settlement, MiFID II, and CSDR) to ensure compliance and drive operational excellence.
• Leverage automation, AI, and emerging technologies to revolutionize settlement processes and drive digital transformation.
• Provide robust project leadership by directing cross-functional teams and driving active stakeholder engagement to execute large-scale implementations on time and within budget.
• Create and implement Target Operating Models (TOM) in close collaboration with clients to address risks, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial market infrastructures.
• Lead engaging workshops, training sessions, and presentations to share knowledge and empower professionals with cutting-edge expertise in settlement and operations.

Candidate Profile

• Your educational foundation is a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD is a strong plus.
• You bring 4-7 years of experience and a deep understanding of market mechanisms, focusing strongly on financial operations, settlement, collateral management, custody, or post-trade services.
• Regulatory frameworks like T+1 Settlement, MiFID II, CSDR, or Basel III are familiar to you, and you understand their practical implications on daily operations.
• You bring a well-established and resilient professional network across banks, asset managers, and market infrastructures, enabling you to build trusted, long-lasting client relationships.
• You thrive in leading projects and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams in dynamic environments.
• Confidently and precisely, you communicate in both German and English to make complex technical and regulatory topics easily understandable for diverse stakeholders.
• You tackle complex challenges with a forward-thinking and solution-oriented approach, easily connecting the dots to develop smart strategies.
