Siemens Financial Services is seeking a senior professional to join Investments & Transaction Advisory (ITA) within SD, providing strategic capital allocation guidance and supporting the Equity Investment Committee.

Qualifikationen

The team you’ll join:

You’ll be part of Investments & Transaction Advisory (ITA) within SFS Strategic Development (SD) – a small, high-impact team supporting SFS Management in shaping strategic capital allocation, investment decisions and the further development of SFS. We act as an independent strategic advisor on major investment and transaction decisions. We support the SFS equity investment process from shaping and challenging investment theses through to final approval, own the underlying governance framework and coordinate the SFS Equity Investment Committee. Beyond equity investments, we advise on business‑critical debt and equity transactions by assessing opportunities and risks, developing clear decision criteria and options, and enabling well‑informed management decisions. Our mandate goes beyond individual transactions. Together with the SFS Business Units, we contribute to the strategic development of SFS’s product offering and support SFS Management on selected strategic, governance and regulatory topics. We also lead the operational execution of strategic M&A projects together with Corporate M&A and SD Strategy and support selected SFS‑wide strategic initiatives.

This will be your impact:

• Shape strategic capital allocation: Guide SFS Management on how capital is deployed across the portfolio, bringing together strategic priorities, financial attractiveness, risk considerations and value creation potential.
• Shape and challenge investment theses: Support the SFS equity investment process from the initial investment thesis and negotiation mandate through to the final investment decision and, where relevant, through to divestment and exit, independently challenging strategic rationale, business plans, valuation, key risks and value creation potential.
• Own and evolve investment governance: Coordinate and prepare the SFS Equity Investment Committee and continuously develop the underlying governance framework, standards, templates and decision criteria to ensure robust, transparent and comparable investment decisions.
• Partner on critical transactions: Act as a strategic sparring partner on business‑critical debt and equity transactions, assessing opportunities and risks, identifying key decision factors and trade‑offs, and developing clear options and recommendations for SFS Management.
• Drive strategic transactions: Set the strategic foundation for selected M&A, joint ventures and other partnership models together with SD Strategy and relevant SFS stakeholders, and take the operational lead on execution alongside Corporate M&A and specialist functions – including due diligence, negotiations and cross‑functional transaction management.
• Develop SFS’s product offering: Work with the SFS Business Units to strategically evolve SFS’s financing and investment offering, assess new business and product opportunities, and translate strategic priorities into actionable concepts.
• Bring a strategic perspective to governance and regulatory topics: Assess governance and regulatory matters for their business implications and translate complex requirements into clear management options and actions.
• Lead SFS‑wide priorities: Take the lead on or support strategic initiatives across SFS, including CEO/CFO priorities, foundations of new SFS entities, corporate carve‑outs and other topics requiring structured analysis, cross‑functional coordination and hands‑on execution.

Your success is grounded in:

• Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or Corporate Finance; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• 5+ years in PE/VC, Investment Banking, M&A, or Corporate Finance with the ability to read and challenge business plans and business models and to spot the value drivers behind valuation and growth.

Expertise & Skills:

• A track record across the full investment lifecycle – from investment thesis and valuation through to divestment and exit – combined with sound judgement on capital allocation trade‑offs.
• Experience advising on debt as well as equity transactions and on new business or product opportunities, translating commercial, financial and regulatory considerations into clear options and senior‑ready recommendations.
• M&A execution experience: coordinating cross functional workstreams, acting as or supporting the negotiation lead, connecting business strategy and target picture to deal structure, and managing day to day transaction operations alongside Corporate M&A.
• A governance and standards approach paired with strong stakeholder skills: developing frameworks, templates and decision criteria, preparing committee materials that are concise and comparable, and communicating confidently with senior management and C‑level across international teams.

• Languages: Business proficiency in English; German is a plus.
