You will manage daily operations based on VMware, NetApp and Linux, monitor capacity and participate in on-call rotations.

• Deep knowledge of server, virtualization and storage systems (e.g., HP, VMware, NetApp, Linux).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with GitOps-based administration approaches and creation of playbooks/scripts (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash) for automation of routine tasks.
• Proficiency in automating routine tasks.
• Language skills: German C2 and English B1.

Overview

Maintain, optimize and operate the compute- and storage/backup environments to ensure high availability, performance and security of the IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance: Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of compute- and storage systems based on VMware and NetApp.
• Monitoring and performance: Monitor performance and capacity, identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Incident management: Investigate and resolve incidents in the compute- and storage infrastructure.
• Service request fulfillment: Implement standard service requests.
• Change execution: Plan, coordinate and implement changes in the compute- and storage environment in accordance with change-management processes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, operating instructions and architecture diagrams.
• Project support: Support infrastructure projects by providing compute- and storage resources and technical expertise.
• On-call readiness: Participate in 24x7 on-call by supporting compute and storage infrastructures.

Qualifications

• Completed studies or vocational training in information technology or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in the administration and operation of x86 servers and SANs, preferably in a larger enterprise environment.
