• 10+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.

You will use Python and TypeScript to develop robust APIs, integration services, and scalable backend solutions. The position offers an opportunity to work on technically challenging integration projects where reliability, interoperability, and clean architecture are critical. Experience within healthcare technology, particularly dental practice management systems, will be especially valuable. You will also have the opportunity to work with technologies such as GraphQL, Hasura, PostgreSQL, and major cloud platforms. The role requires strong technical autonomy, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed U.S.-based team. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on integration architecture while working within a flexible remote environment.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex backend integrations using Python and TypeScript.
• Build robust APIs and integration services that enable reliable communication between different applications and systems.
• Architect and implement scalable solutions for technically complex integration requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services with a strong focus on reliability, performance, maintainability, and security.
• Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions.
• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions involving APIs, data flows, and system interoperability.
• Work with modern technologies and cloud environments as required by project needs.
• Maintain effective collaboration with U.S.-based team members by providing at least 2-4 hours of daily working-hour overlap, ideally including West Coast hours.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is an advantage.
