Tillo is seeking a Finance Operations Assistant/Credit Controller to join our high-performing Finance Operations Team. You will manage accounts receivable ledgers, drive collections, and help develop robust processes and controls.

The role supports weekly and monthly reconciliations and collaborates with internal teams and customers. Based in our Hove office, this hybrid role involves working 2 days per week on-site, with opportunities to contribute to automation initiatives and improvements

Qualifikationen

Job Summary:

The Finance Operations Assistant/Credit Controller will be part of a high-performing Finance Operations Team, delivering outstanding service to customers, suppliers, and business stakeholders, while supporting the development and maintenance of best-in-class operational processes and controls.

Tillo is a fast-growing, private equity–backed, international FinTech business. This role plays a key part in managing accounts receivable ledgers, collections, delivering process improvements and automation, and providing support with weekly and monthly reconciliations.

Day to day this role will

• Proactively manage credit control and collections activities, following up on overdue balances and resolving customer queries
• Partner with the Operations team to deliver an effective onboarding experience for new retailers, suppliers, and customers.
• Administer end-to-end collections through GoCardless, ensuring accurate monthly setup for new customers and resolving failed collections through manual intervention.
• Work closely with Account Management and Commercial teams to minimise overdue balances
• Drive credit control process improvements and automation initiatives, ensuring enhanced efficiency and robust financial controls are aligned with the company’s new ERP system.
• Collaborate proactively with the wider finance team to implement and uphold best practices for a robust Credit Control
• Provide support with weekly/monthly reconciliations & self-billing processes to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, maintaining the integrity of the billing cycle end to end.
• Investigate and respond to invoicing queries from customers and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Demonstrated expertise in financial reconciliation processes and ledger management.
• Demonstrated track record of continuous process improvement, driving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Proven ability to build and manage effective supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems, with a track record of managing large datasets with precision.
• Innovative problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communicator and organizer, capable of liaising effectively with internal teams and external partners to achieve objectives.

Desirable:

• Experience within a fintech, high growth or dynamic environment
