ARX Robotics in Germany is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture of autonomous robotic systems. You will lead the EPLAN environment, mentor engineers, and ensure robust, compliant hardware designs.

You will translate complex requirements into scalable electrical solutions, achieve high quality, and align data between EPLAN and PLM. This role offers hybrid work and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Several years of electrical design experience for complex machinery.
• Deep expertise with EPLAN P8, including admin and data management.
• Strong component selection, dimensioning, and full-cycle design.
• Knowledge of CAN and Ethernet networks in systems integration.
• Familiarity with EN 60204-1 and ISO 13849-1 safety standards.
• Proactive, structured, ownership-focused and accountable.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

About the Role

As our Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be the driving force behind the electrical architecture of our autonomous robotic systems. You'll shape the core of our platform's electrical design, ensuring our robots are robust, reliable, and built to the highest standards of quality and consistency.

This is a key role where you will establish and lead our EPLAN environment, guiding the engineering team and setting the benchmark for electrical design excellence at ARX Robotics. You will translate complex system requirements into elegant, resilient hardware solutions that power the future of autonomous ground systems.

What You’ll Build

• Develop and maintain the complete electrical schematics, diagrams, and documentation for our robotic platforms using EPLAN P8.
• Architect and continuously enhance our EPLAN environment, including article databases, macro libraries, and drawing standards.
• Guide the selection of critical electrical components through structured, data-driven technical decisions.
• Ensure all electrical components are properly dimensioned and qualified to meet demanding technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Guarantee compliance with key industry standards (like EN 60204-1 and EMC principles) and relevant military specifications.
• Define, document, and champion best practices and guidelines for electrical engineering across the team.
• Mentor and empower your engineering colleagues on EPLAN workflows, system structure, and electrical design principles.
• Serve as the authority for reviewing and validating electrical designs, ensuring they meet our high bar for quality and robustness.
• Maintain seamless alignment between electrical design data in EPLAN and our higher-level system and BOM structures in our PLM system.

What You Bring

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent expertise gained through extensive hands-on experience as a technician or master craftsman.
• Several years of experience architecting electrical designs for complex machinery or advanced systems.
• Deep, practical expertise with EPLAN P8, ideally including its administration and data management.
• A strong background in component selection, dimensioning, and full-cycle electrical system design.
• A solid understanding of electrical communication networks (like CAN and Ethernet) and their integration.
• Familiarity with relevant safety and electrical standards (e.g., EN 60204-1, ISO 13849-1).
• A proactive, structured, and independent approach to your work, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Fluency in English (German is a plus).
• Experience with ruggedized systems for harsh environments or harness design tools (like EPLAN Harness ProD) would be a significant advantage.
