Zusammenfassung

EhsanLab in Germany is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work on fintech and banking projects focused on security, reliability, and scalability. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and improving incident response efforts.

The ideal candidate has 3-7 years of experience in DevOps, strong AWS and Kubernetes skills, and familiarity with compliance frameworks. The role offers flexible working arrangements in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifikationen

• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering.
• Strong AWS experience across core cloud services.
• Production experience with Kubernetes & Docker (EKS preferred).
• Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code at scale.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch.
• Strong Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Experience handling production incidents in distributed systems.
• Fintech startup experience is required.

About the Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at EhsanLab, you will work across fintech and banking client engagements where security, reliability, and scalability are critical.

This role is designed for engineers who can hit the ground running in compliance-heavy environments, own infrastructure decisions, and improve delivery practices. You may lead infrastructure design end-to-end or augment an existing engineering team depending on the engagement scope.

Your success will be measured by the reliability, security, and operational maturity of the systems you touch.

Key Responsibilities

Core Execution

• Design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and equivalent platforms using Terraform
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based workflows using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or similar
• Operate and improve Kubernetes platforms including EKS
• Implement and maintain observability systems across logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting
• Manage IAM policies, secrets management, and container security

Process & Platform Contribution

• Drive incident response, root-cause analysis, and disaster recovery processes
• Build reusable Terraform modules, standards, and runbooks
• Partner with developers to improve release quality and deployment frequency
• Support compliance-readiness efforts such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001

Collaboration

• Embed into client engineering and security teams quickly
• Mentor mid-level engineers and transfer knowledge
• Communicate technical decisions and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
