Senior Data Engineer - Integrations (m/f/d)

As a Senior Data Engineer - Integrations at Adsquare, you will be responsible for building scalable data processing pipelines and integrations, transferring terabytes of data to external partners.

About the team

• You will join a team of 5 Backend Engineers and a Technical Product Owner, becoming the 7th team member, adding Data Engineering expertise.
• You will work under the guidance of the Technical Team Lead.
• Opportunities for collaboration with data professionals from other teams at Adsquare are available.
• Future plans include expanding the data (analytics) engineering team.

What you will do

• Work in a self-organized agile team with high autonomy, actively shaping team culture.
• Design, build, and standardize privacy-first big data architectures, large-scale data pipelines, and analytics solutions in AWS.
• Develop complex integrations with third-party partners, transferring large data volumes.
• Align with other Data experts at Adsquare on best practices and standards, and introduce those to improve existing pipelines and develop new ones.
• Partner with the Product team to develop and improve platform features.

Desired background

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Significant experience with Python; familiarity with Java or Scala is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with scalable solutions in AWS.
• Proficiency in NoSQL and SQL databases, and high-throughput data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, MongoDB, AWS Batch, AWS Glue, Athena, Airflow, dbt).
• Excellent SQL and data transformation skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
