Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled cybersecurity professional in Karlsruhe to support and grow the Cyber Defense Center and its market-facing services in attack detection and SOC operations. You will identify and prioritize incidents, handle them per runbooks, proactively investigate security events, and improve IT security resilience across services.

You will analyze incidents, preserve evidence, and coordinate measures while advising colleagues on reducing attack surfaces and vectors.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in IT security, computer science or related field with several years of relevant experience.
• Strong incident response knowledge in on-premises and cloud architectures.
• Experience in SOC operations with SIEM and SOAR systems.
• Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2).
• Willingness to work shifts and participate in on-call rotations.
• Certificate of good conduct.

• Help expand the internal Cyber Defense Center and its market-facing services in the areas of attack detection and Security Operations Center operations
• Identify and prioritize cybersecurity incidents and handle them in accordance with defined runbooks
• Proactively investigate and detect security events
• Improve the security resilience of IT services
• Analyze security incidents and preserve evidence
• Define, coordinate, and sustainably document measures
• Advise internal colleagues on reducing attack surfaces and attack vectors

Requirements

• Degree in IT security, computer science, information technology, business informatics, or a related field, plus several years of relevant professional experience (2–6 years) in IT security, or an equivalent qualification
• Very strong knowledge of incident response in on-premises and cloud architectures
• Experience in SOC operations, particularly with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) systems
• Fluent German, at least C1 level
• Good English, B2 level
• Willingness and availability to work shifts and participate in on-call rotations
• Ability to provide a certificate of good conduct
• Fast learner with strong independent and analytical thinking and decision-making skills
• Targeted communication with technical specialists and management
