Zusammenfassung

Fluence in Berlin seeks a Senior Controls Software Engineer to develop robust C/C++ modules for Fluence OS controls and integrate with PCS/BMS/RTU devices. You will deliver a releasable Increment at the end of each Sprint and support commissioning teams with bring-up and diagnostics.

You will own real-time control services, device integration, and contribute to CI/CD, tests, and code reviews, while mentoring teammates and ensuring robustness and security across Linux/embedded targets.

Qualifikationen

• Professional C/C++ on Linux/embedded/RTOS; strong systems fundamentals.
• Expertise using the Agile development framework.
• Experience with real-time controls and deterministic error handling for power systems.
• Expertise in multiple Linux Deployment Environments (Ubuntu preferred).
• Device/protocol integration (Modbus TCP/IP; familiarity with DNP3/IEC-61850)
• Git, CI/CD, automated testing; collaborative engineering practices.
• Enthusiasm for getting things done, taking personal responsibility, adding value within a team setting, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics from an accredited university with 5+ years of work experience. Significant related work experience will be considered in place of a master’s degree.
• Experience with Power System Market Applications.
• Experience with Industrial Protocols: Modbus TCP and MQTT.
• Willing and able to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 5% of the time.

Job Description

In the Senior Controls Software Engineer role, you’ll develop robust, performant C/C++ modules for Fluence OS controls and integrating with PCS/BMS/RTU devices.
