Necessary skills and qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Backend Engineer with any backend technology
• Proven engineering background with a strong motivation to grow into a Solution Architect position
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services (AKS, ACR, VNETs, Storage, Monitoring, Entra ID) and active participation in developing microservices architectures with containerised workloads
• Understanding of cloud capacity planning and cost optimisation (TCO profiling)
• Readiness to propose alternative architectural approaches based on ready‑made components
• Ability to design solutions based on ready‑made cloud components and propose them as alternative options to meet customer needs
• In‑depth understanding of security‑by‑design principles, including encryption, zero‑trust networking, and secure service‑to‑service communication
• Strong potential to lead technical discussions and present technical solutions to both internal teams and customers
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to balance business requirements, compliance, and technical feasibility
• At least B1/B2 proficiency in German (conversational)
• Upper‑Intermediate level of English proficiency
• Prior experience as a Cloud Architect or Solution Architect (Will be a plus)
• Practical experience building IoT solutions, including telemetry, connectivity, and reliability constraints, firmware lifecycle management, OTA updates, and device fleet management
• Familiarity with GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance requirements
• Proficiency in SDLC and V‑model development
• Experience with design control and requirements traceability in compliance with regulatory standards
• Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑204, AZ‑305
