Qualifikationen

• MD degree with clinical and scientific experience in metabolic diseases, cardiovascular, renal or internal medicine.
• Extensive experience in clinical drug development in pharma or academic research.
• Strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams.

• Excellent presentation and facilitation of scientific content.
• High initiative, strategic thinking and team orientation.
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Design and oversee early-phase clinical development plans (Phase I/II) in Obesity & Liver indications.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality trial execution.
• Oversee setup, conduct and data readout of trials with timelines, quality and ethics.
• Contribute to regulatory strategy and clinical components of briefing documents and responses to questions.
• Support Medical Affairs strategy and Integrated Evidence Plan with Medical Advisor(s) and Medical Affairs Lead.
• Leverage clinical expertise to evaluate external opportunities and strengthen the pipeline.
• Supervise and mentor other Clinical Program Leads as needed.

The Position

As a Senior Clinical Program Leader, you will play a pivotal role in advancing innovative therapies for patients living with obesity and liver diseases. Working at the forefront of clinical development, you will lead cross-functional teams, drive early-stage clinical programs from strategy through execution and contribute to critical development and regulatory decisions. Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role, you will design and prepare clinical development plans, focusing on Phase I and II in Obesity & Liver indications
• You will guide cross-functional teams, including experts from clinical trial operations, biostatistics, biomarkers, and patient safety, to ensure high-quality execution as the clinical lead
• Furthermore, you will oversee the setup, conduct, and data readout of clinical trials in collaboration with the Clinical Trial Lead, ensuring timelines, quality, and ethical standards are met
• You will provide input to regulatory strategy and clinical components of briefing documents, presentations, and responses to questions
• Moreover, you will contribute to the Medical Affairs strategy and deliverables, including key documents such as the Integrated Evidence Plan, in collaboration with Medical Advisor(s) and the Medical Affairs Lead
• You will leverage your clinical expertise to evaluate external opportunities and support decisions that strengthen the pipeline
• In addition, you will supervise and mentor other Clinical Program Leads within the assigned program/asset, while serving as a delegate for the Clinical Development Lead in designated tasks and responsibilities, as required

Requirements

• MD degree with long-standing clinical and scientific experience in metabolic diseases, cardiovascular, renal or internal medicine
• Long term experience in clinical drug development within the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience in academic clinical research
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
• Skilled in presenting scientific content and facilitating cross-functional discussions
• High level of initiative, strategic thinking, and team orientation
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
