United States Digital Space LLC in Berlin is seeking an experienced backend engineer to develop AI-driven solutions at scale. You will work on a modern stack, including Java/Spring, SQL databases, and microservices, contributing end-to-end across the SDLC.

You will join autonomous teams delivering high-performance services with a strong emphasis on reliability, latency, and data integrity, while collaborating with a global engineering organization.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, WebSockets, and AMQP protocols.
• Experience with at least one modern web framework.
• Deep understanding of relational databases, indexing, transactions, isolation levels, and high-performance design.
• Ability to design and operate systems that perform reliably at scale.

What you need to have

Passion for building AI-driven solutions using rich, large scale datasets, with the ambition to take advantage of the tools, resources, and engineering support needed to solve challenging real world problems.

• Experience building services in a microservices architecture.

• Strong understanding of communication protocols such as HTTP, WebSockets, and AMQP, and when to apply each.

• Experience with at least one modern web framework (language-agnostic mindset preferred).

• Deep understanding of relational databases, including indexing, transactions, isolation levels, locking mechanisms, and high-performance design.

• Ability to design and operate systems that perform reliably at scale.
