Zusammenfassung

spotixx is a Frankfurt-based FinTech building AML and fraud-detection tech for regulated financial institutions. We seek a backend/platform engineer with 5+ years on Google Cloud to design scalable, secure Python services and BigQuery data pipelines.

You’ll own IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across a global team in a hybrid work model, splitting time between our Frankfurt office and remote work. Fluent German and English required.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering with production Google Cloud experience.
• Strong Python and clean API design.
• Hands-on data engineering on BigQuery.
• Solid DevOps practices: Terraform, CI/CD, containerized workloads.
• Cloud security and IAM knowledge: identity, access control, audit logging.
• Fluent German (C1+) and English.
• Big plus: regulated financial institutions or similar setting.

We specialize in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and fraud detection, enabling secure, compliant data exchange between financial institutions. Using data science and AI, we are helping shift the industry toward collaborative intelligence and more effective prevention.

Tasks

Build and operate our platform on Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager).

• Own Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, plus CI/CD pipelines and clean promotion across dev, test and production.

• Develop backend services in Python, design clean APIs, and integrate with internal and third‑party systems.

• Build production data pipelines on BigQuery: partitioning, cost and performance tuning, scheduled queries, batch and streaming workloads.

• Shape a scalable, maintainable platform architecture with clean separation of concerns.

• Work within security and IAM standards suited to regulated financial institutions: GCP IAM, RBAC and SSO, audit logging, Binary Authorization, VPC Service Controls.

Requirements

• 5+ years in backend or platform engineering, with production experience on Google Cloud.

• Strong Python and clean API and service design.

• Hands-on data engineering on BigQuery.

• Solid DevOps practice: Terraform, CI/CD, containerized workloads.

• Practical depth in cloud security and IAM: identity, access control, audit logging.

• Fluent German (C1 or higher) and fluent English.

• Big plus: background with regulated financial institutions or a comparable regulated setting.
