Senior AI/LLM Engineer | AI Startup | Munich, €110,000 + Equity

We're partnering with a fast-growing AI company based in Germany that is building category-defining software for a massive market. The team has already achieved exceptional early traction and is now scaling rapidly across DACH, with international expansion already firmly on the roadmap.

About the role

• This is a true end-to-end AI engineering role with real ownership from day one. You\'ll design, build and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems, taking responsibility for everything from retrieval pipelines and LLM orchestration through to evaluation, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Working across the full AI stack, you\'ll build scalable data pipelines, architect reliable AI infrastructure, and integrate intelligent agents directly into the product. You\'ll collaborate closely with a high-calibre engineering team, turning complex real-world workflows into AI-powered solutions that deliver measurable impact for customers.

What you\'ll bring

• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI/LLM systems or autonomous agents.
• Strong Python development skills with experience designing scalable backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, RAG, hybrid search, retrieval pipelines or agent frameworks.
• Experience building AI evaluation, monitoring and feedback systems to improve model performance.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and processing large volumes of unstructured data.
• Experience with modern AI infrastructure, model serving and scaling production workloads.
• Full-stack experience with React, TypeScript or FastAPI would be advantageous.
• High agency, strong product thinking and the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges from idea through to production.
