Zusammenfassung

EQS Group in Munich is seeking a Senior Accountant to drive IFRS financial statements, consolidation, and reporting within the group. You will collaborate with Group Accounting, local finance teams, auditors and stakeholders to optimize processes in Lucanet and ensure accurate, timely disclosures.

The role requires a degree in finance or accounting, several years of consolidation experience, IFRS expertise, and advanced Excel.

Qualifikationen

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a comparable field.
  • Several years of professional experience in Group Accounting / Consolidation Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience in group consolidation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lucanet (consolidation and reporting).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle, Navision, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluency in English (C2) and German (C2).
  • Experience in an international environment is an advantage.

Aufgaben

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant IFRS standards.
  • Preparation of IFRS memos and accounting policies.
  • Analysis of complex accounting topics (e.g., revenue recognition, leasing, provisions, inter‑company transactions).
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements, disclosures and management reporting.
  • Preparation of the group cash flow statement.
  • Support in group reporting to entities delivering monthly group reporting.
  • Maintaining the IFRS 16 Leasing tool for reporting input.
  • Preparation of special annual reporting input e.g. for IAS 12 or IAS 19.
  • Execution of group consolidation in the Lucanet system including PPA adjustments.
  • Reconciliation and elimination of inter‑company transactions.
  • Currency translations and capital consolidations.
  • Maintenance and development of the group chart of accounts.
  • Analysis and commentary on consolidation effects.
  • Key User / Power User for Lucanet.
  • Support in optimizing and automating closing and reporting processes.
  • Participation in finance transformation and digitalisation projects.
  • Onboarding new entities or integrating new systems.
  • Ensuring high data quality and efficient reporting processes.
  • Engage and promote AI usage in Finance.
  • Main contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Support during annual audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Documentation of relevant processes and controls.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and quality assurance of IFRS financial statements as well as the execution of group consolidation within the corporate group. The role acts as a central interface between Group Accounting, local finance teams, auditors, and other stakeholders. In addition, the person is expected to actively contribute to the optimization and digitalization of accounting processes, particularly within the Lucanet environment.

YOUR IMPACT
IFRS Accounting & Reporting
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant IFRS standards.
  • Preparation of IFRS memos and accounting policies.
  • Analysis of complex accounting topics (e.g., revenue recognition, leasing, provisions, inter‑company transactions).
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements, disclosures and management reporting.
  • Preparation of the group cash flow statement.
  • Support in group reporting (technical preparation and support to the entities in delivering monthly group reporting).
  • Maintaining the IFRS 16 Leasing tool for reporting input.
  • Preparation of special annual reporting input e.g. for IAS 12 or IAS 19.
Consolidation
  • Execution of group consolidation in the Lucanet system including accounting for PPA (purchase‑price allocation) adjustments.
  • Reconciliation and elimination of inter‑company transactions.
  • Performing currency translations and capital consolidations.
  • Maintenance and further development of the group chart of accounts.
  • Analysis and commentary on consolidation effects.
Systems & Process Responsibility
  • Key User / Power User for Lucanet.
  • Support in optimizing and automating closing and reporting processes.
  • Participation in finance transformation and digitalisation projects.
  • Support in onboarding new entities or integrating new systems.
  • Ensuring high data quality and efficient reporting processes.
  • Engage and promote actively the implementation of AI usage in Finance.
Audit & Compliance
  • Main contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Support during annual audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Documentation of relevant processes and controls.
THIS IS YOU
Professional Qualifications
  • Successfully completed a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of professional experience in Group Accounting / Consolidation Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience in group consolidation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lucanet (consolidation and reporting).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle, Navision, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluency in English (C2) and German (C2).
