Zusammenfassung

Spire Global in Munich is hiring MAIT Technicians to build, test and prepare nano-satellites for launch in our purpose-built facility.

You will inspect PCBA and mechanical parts, perform soldering on surface mount components, and assemble sub-assemblies and satellites for environmental testing, with a strong emphasis on documentation and quality.

Fluent English is required, German is preferred, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset helps you thrive in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
• Technical education in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• SVQ Level 3 in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent/business-level English; German is a plus.

Would you like to be part of the team that builds, tests and prepares nano-satellites for launch? Spire Global in Munich is looking to hire MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Test) Technicians. The position is suited to experienced techs or anyone with a passion for learning that is looking for a start in the space industry. As part of the satellite manufacturing team you will help us define and execute the processes required to assemble and test our spacecraft within the purpose built facility in Munich.

The successful candidate will be able to follow detailed instructions and have an unwavering attention to detail. An unbending focus on quality is critical. Key Responsibilities

• PCBA & Mechanical part inspection

  • Complete 100% of assigned work packages in accordance with quality procedures
• Additional KPIs
  • 95% Schedule adherence. Completes assigned tasks within planned timelines
  • 100% Procedure Compliance. Follows work instructions, test procedures, and quality processes

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or cleanroom environment
• Relevant Technical Education / Training in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• SVQ Level 3 in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• English: Fluent/business-level English is required, as English is the main working language across the company

Preferred Skills/Attributes

• IPC or J-standard qualified for surface mount component placement and rework skills
• Experience working in a fast paced high tech environment
• Ability to work independently, yet in a collaborative environment
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions
• PCBA & Mechanical Assembly work
• Understanding of technical drawings; PCB layout, PCB Schematics, mechanical drawings
• Understanding of basic electronics
• Software programming experience
• Quick learning with the ability to develop others
• Attention to detail & organisational skills
• Honesty, openness and self awareness
• German: Intermediate German is preferred due to the location and local culture

This position will require you to work five days per week in the office.
