Infosys Consulting in Germany seeks an experienced SAP Utilities Functional Consultant to join our team for a greenfield Cloud for Utilities deployment focusing on Meter-to-Cash. You will design and implement scalable SAP IS-U solutions, collaborate with clients, and ensure compliant, future-ready architectures.

Required are deep SAP IS-U expertise, S/4HANA Utilities, and strong German (C2) and English (C2) communication, plus leadership of project teams and mentoring junior consultants.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of SAP IS-U experience in consulting or in-house roles.
• Deep expertise in at least one of the following: Marktkommunikation (Format, IDEX, MPM ehem. Common Layer, MaCo Cloud); Billing (tariffing, MOS billing, feeder, redispatch); Smart Metering/Device Management (GV, IM4G, GWA, MDM, MPM formerly Common Layer); Energy data management.
• Strong affinity for IT and experience with ABAP, debugging, and functional design.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex SAP projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field

About your role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Utilities Functional Consultant to join our team and support a greenfield SAP Cloud for Utilities implementation. This role focuses on the Meter-to-Cash process and requires deep expertise in SAP IS-U, market communication, billing, smart metering, and energy data management. You will work closely with clients to design and implement scalable, compliant, and future-ready solutions.

• Have a broad business skill set including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and resilience
• Have experience in gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for a range of audiences
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in German (C2 proficiency) and English (C2 proficiency), project-related mobility/willingness to travel
• Support our clients with SAP IS-U and S/4HANA Utilities, especially in billing, market communication, energy data management and smart metering.
• Analyze business processes and design optimized SAP solutions tailored to DSO operations
• Lead integration and implementation of SAP modules across energy industry systems
• Manage project teams through concept realization, rollout, and quality assurance
• Take ownership of project management tasks and contribute to IT strategy development
• Collaborate with technical teams and contribute to solution architecture
• Mentor junior consultants and support hiring initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Experience in digital transformation projects for utility companies
