The Opportunity

As Test Country Lead (w/m/d) DACH, you will own the commercial success and growth of the Siemens Test business across the region. You will lead the Sales and PreSales organization while remaining highly visible in the market and directly engaged with strategic customers. This is a player-coach leadership role: you will build and develop a high-performing organization while personally shaping major opportunities, executive relationships, and strategic accounts. You will spend at least 50% of your time with strategic customers and in the market, ensuring that you remain close to customer priorities, technology trends, competitive dynamics, and the opportunities shaping the future of engineering test and validation. What you will own

Lead the DACH Test Business

• Own the overall commercial performance of the Test business across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
• Drive revenue, growth, profitability, and market-share objectives across hardware, software, maintenance, and customer & engineering services.
• Define and execute the regional business strategy and annual operating plan.
• Identify new growth opportunities, markets, customers, and routes to market.
• Establish clear commercial priorities, KPIs, and accountability across the organization.

Lead from the Market

• Personally engage with strategic customers and executive stakeholders, building trusted relationships at C-level and senior engineering levels.
• Lead major strategic sales pursuits and complex, multi-year opportunities.
• Develop compelling value propositions and quantified business cases that connect technology investment to measurable customer outcomes.
• Understand customer engineering and validation challenges and translate them into differentiated Siemens solutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor strategies, technology shifts, and emerging customer requirements.
• Represent Siemens Test at customer events, industry conferences, and executive forums.

Build a High-Performing Sales Organization

• Lead, coach, and develop the DACH Sales and PreSales organization.
• Recruit and retain exceptional commercial and technical sales talent.
• Create a culture of accountability, customer obsession, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Align individual strengths and expertise with strategic market opportunities.
• Establish clear development and succession plans for key roles.
• Raise the overall standard of consultative, value-based, and solution-oriented selling.

Win in a Competitive Market

• Develop differentiated strategies for strategic accounts and competitive opportunities.
• Build strong account and territory plans that increase market penetration and customer value.
• Lead competitive positioning across the Test & Validation landscape.
• Govern Proof-of-Concept engagements with clear success criteria, commercial objectives, and transition plans.
• Develop and manage a high-performing partner ecosystem to extend market reach and accelerate growth.

Connect Customers with Siemens Technology

• Work closely with global Product Management, Industry, Engineering, and Services teams to bring the right solutions to customers.
• Ensure that customer feedback and market intelligence directly influence regional and global strategy.
• Drive adoption of the broader Siemens portfolio by connecting test, measurement, simulation, engineering software, and services into compelling customer solutions.
• Ensure operational excellence through accurate forecasting, disciplined opportunity management, reliable demonstrations, and measurable sales performance.

What You Bring

• We are looking for an accomplished Sales Director, Business Leader, or Commercial Leader who combines strong sales leadership with a deep understanding of engineering-driven technology markets, especially in test & validation.
• A successful track record in B2B sales leadership within engineering software, test & measurement, validation, simulation, industrial technology, or a closely related field.
• Experience leading Sales and PreSales organizations with direct responsibility for regional business performance.
• A proven record of winning complex, high-value opportunities involving multiple technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong experience developing strategic accounts and building long-term relationships with senior engineering and executive decision-makers.
• Experience selling solutions such as test & measurement, data acquisition, test automation, validation, simulation, NVH, HIL/XIL, engineering software, or related technologies is highly valuable.
• Strong commercial judgment and demonstrated success in negotiations and complex deal structures.
• The ability to translate sophisticated technology into clear customer value and compelling business outcomes.
• Experience building, coaching, and motivating high-performing sales organizations.
• A strong external network and understanding of the DACH engineering and manufacturing ecosystem.
• Experience working with strategic partners and developing indirect routes to market.
• Strong understanding of industries such as Automotive & Transportation, Aerospace & Defense, Electronics & Semiconductors, Energy, and Industrial Machinery.
• Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the DACH region and internationally.
• Highly proficient spoken and written German and English.

Our Benefits & Rewards

The primary locations for this opportunity are Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The applicable salary ranges for these locations are:

• Austria: €162,200 – €308,300
• Germany: €145,500 – €291,000
• Switzerland: CHF 249,900 – CHF 437,200

This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation with 50% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target (100% achievement). The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
