Jobbeschreibung

Are you a safety-driven engineer with a passion for electrification and breakthrough battery technologies? Do you excel at navigating complex systems, safety standards, and cutting-edge innovations? Ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of safe, electric off-highway machinery on a global stage? Then this is your next career move.

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Safety Engineer - ePT and Batteries to join our R&D team.

As a Safety Assurance Engineer for ePowertrain Systems and Battery Packs, you will be integral in ensuring that ELU’s (Electrification Unit of Yanmar) cutting-edge electric off-highway machines meet the highest safety standards. You will develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols and perform thorough assessments to guarantee system reliability and regulatory compliance. Working with a global team in Japan and the Netherlands, you'll guide the integration of advanced technologies, with a keen focus on both ePowertrain systems and the critical safety aspects of battery pack management. Your role will be essential in establishing Yanmar as a leader in safe and efficient off-highway electrification.

But before we tell you more about this opportunity, let us introduce ourselves !

ABOUT US

At Yanmar, we are committed to building a sustainable future. In April 2025, we launched the Electrification Unit (ELU) to lead the transformation of compact off-highway machinery through innovative zero-emission solutions. ELU focuses on developing a diverse portfolio of e-powertrain technologies, including batteries and eDrives, to electrify applications such as excavators, wheel loaders, and other industrial machinery.

Operating globally with teams in the Netherlands, Germany, and Japan, ELU leverages Yanmar's extensive resources and technical expertise to deliver efficient, reliable, and high-performance electrification solutions. Our work supports Yanmar’s broader Green Challenge 2050 initiative, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility and carbon reduction.

Joining ELU means becoming part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovation and sustainability. Here, your contributions will have a real impact on the future of energy and the development of cleaner, more efficient machinery.
