Zusammenfassung

CommuniCare Health Services is seeking an RN or LPN wound/treatment nurse for a day shift at Indian Creek Healthcare Center, part of the CommuniCare Family. You will perform wound care, dressing changes, and other treatments to support resident health and comfort.

The role requires current licensure in the state, CPR certification, and experience in healthcare or long-term care settings. A positive, team-focused approach is essential for this caring community.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a current RN or LPN license in the state of the center.
• Wound Certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Prior work/life experiences in a healthcare setting are valued.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in long-term care.

Aufgaben

• Perform treatments, dressing changes, ointments, sprays, and lotions per policy and orders.
• Monthly replacements of gastric tubes and Foley catheters as assigned.
• Provide trach care and suctioning.
• Document treatments and progress in nurse notes and patient records.
• Recommend treatments or products to attending physicians when appropriate.
• Re-order treatment supplies from pharmacy or central supply as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a current license as a RN or LPN in the state where the center is located. Wound Certification preferred.

• Prior experience in treatment nursing care is desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all treatments, dressing changes, ointments, sprays, lotions, etc. on all residents following center policy and procedures as it pertains to resident privacy, infection control, and physician’s orders.
• Perform routine monthly replacements of gastric tubes and Foley catheters as assigned.
• Perform trach care and suctioning.
• Recommend treatment at least 1 time weekly in the nurse notes, skin grids, pressure sore reports, or other required documents.
• Recommend treatment procedures or products to attending physicians.
• Re-order treatment supplies from pharmacy or central supply as needed.
