Zusammenfassung

HDI Global SE is seeking a Power risk engineer with 7+ years in the power sector or insurance to join our Risk Engineering team in Germany. You will conduct risk surveys, develop mitigation tools, and support underwriters with timely reports.

The ideal candidate holds an MSc/PhD in mechanical or electrical engineering, with English at C1 and strong communication skills; international experience and AI curiosity are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 7 years experience in the Power industry or as a power risk engineer in the insurance industry.
• MSc or PhD in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Professional membership of engineering associations advantageous.
• Good knowledge of power plant operations and turbines; understanding of international engineering standards.
• Knowledge or experience in renewable energy is a plus.
• International experience or working across cultures preferred.
• General curiosity for artificial intelligence.
• Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player; able to work independently.
• English (min. level C1); other languages desirable.

Aufgaben

• Conduct Risk Engineering Surveys for the Power Sector ( erection, commissioning and operation).
• Implement loss prevention measures with development of risk management procedures at client level.
• Develop and implement HRC Standards, Guidelines, and Risk Engineering tools.
• Evaluate loss potential in accordance with HRC guidelines.
• Desktop reviews of external risk reports as requested by underwriters.
• Provide reports in a timely manner with underwriters and in accordance with HRC Risk Engineering guidelines.
• Develop and provide training sessions for clients, underwriters and claims.
• Attend client presentations.

Your Profile

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the Power industry or experience as a power risk engineer in the insurance industry
• Appropriate formal Engineering Qualifications (MSc. or PhD.) preferrably mechanical or electrical engineering
• Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous
• Good knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance of turbines as well as good understanding of international engineering standards
• Good knowledge or experience in renewable energy would be an additional advantage
• International experience or working with different culture is preferred
• General curisosity for articical intelligence
• Highly motivated personnel with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well asTeam Player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• English (min. level C1), further foreign language skills desirable
