Siemens Energy is seeking an R&D Technology Project Manager to lead cutting-edge research and development projects in aerodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, and materials science for large gas turbines. You will drive software tool development, validation, and industrial implementation while coordinating international, interdisciplinary teams and collaborating with universities and research institutions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.
• Several years of experience in research and development and managing technically demanding projects, preferably in the energy, turbomachinery, or gas turbine industry.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Leadership of complex R&D projects from concept and planning through technical implementation to industrial application
• Management of projects focused on scientific and engineering software tool development
• Coordination of methodology development in aerodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, and materials science
• Project planning and oversight of schedules, budgets, resources, quality, risks, and deliverables
• Leadership of interdisciplinary international project teams and establishment of long-term research partnerships
• Identification of public funding opportunities, support of proposal preparation, project execution, reporting, and stakeholder communication

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science
• Several years of experience in research and development and managing technically demanding projects, preferably in the energy, turbomachinery, or gas turbine industry
• Understanding of aerodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, materials science, or scientific software development
• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, including risk, resource, schedule, and budget management
• Strategic and analytical thinking, leadership capability, and effective communication of complex technical topics to international and interdisciplinary teams
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
