Zusammenfassung

QUDORA Technologies GmbH in Lower Saxony/Hannover is seeking a software professional to advance quantum computing software tooling and benchmarking workflows. Join an interdisciplinary team developing quantum error correction components and scalable software for next-gen hardware.

You will collaborate with hardware engineers and HPC specialists to integrate quantum systems into hybrid workflows, while benefiting from flexible work models and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifikationen

  • Master’s degree in CS/Physics/Engineering with focus on quantum computing or related field.
  • Strong understanding of quantum algorithms and their software implementations.
  • Experience benchmarking software against hardware specifications.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience, preferably in R&D or academic settings.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ and familiarity with software engineering practices.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

  • Develop software tools and benchmarking workflows for evaluating current and future quantum hardware generations.
  • Contribute to software components and workflows for quantum error correction.
  • Collaborate with hardware team to improve usability, performance and scalability of QUDORA solutions.
  • Support integration of QUDORA quantum computers into HPC infrastructures and hybrid quantum–classical workflows.

QUDORA Technologies is a quantum technology start-up from Lower Saxony (Germany)developing full-stack quantum computers based on ion trap technology. Quantumcomputers hold the promise of outperforming today’s supercomputers within the nextdecade and solve some of the world’s most challenging problems by unleashing the powerof quantum mechanics.

QUDORA and its patented technology belong to the spearhead of the German quantumcomputing landscape. We have won multiple projects and signed a contract to develop aquantum computer prototype for the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in context of theGerman Quantum Computing Initiative.

Your Responsibilities
  • Developing software tools and application benchmarking workflows for theevaluation of the current and future quantum hardware generations
  • Contributing to the development of software components and workflows for quantumerror correction
  • Collaborating with the hardware team to improve the usability, performance, andscalability of QUDORA’s quantum computing solutions
  • Supporting the integration of QUDORA’s quantum computers into HPCinfrastructures and hybrid quantum–classical workflows
Your Compensation Package
  • Financial compensation: We value industrial and/or academic experience with acompetitive salary and offer you a mobility allowance for public transport in the form of the German Jobticket.
  • Relocation support: If you are moving to join us for this position, we will providefinancial support.
  • Flexible working models: You can organize your weekly working hours flexibly and are allowed to work multiple days per week from home. We look forward to meetingyou in person at our weekly team meetings at Walderseestraße 7, 30163 Hannover-Vahrenwald-List.
  • Rest periods: You will receive 30 days of vacation (based on a 5-day work week). Additionally, you will get the 24th and 31st of December off.

Your Profile
  • Master’s degree in computer science, physics, engineering, or a related field with afocus on quantum computing, quantum algorithms, software development, orcomputational science
  • Strong understanding of quantum algorithms and/or quantum applications, with theability to translate them into efficient software implementations
  • Experience with performance benchmarking against hardware specifications
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in software development, ideally in an R&Dor research environment
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ with experience in developingscientific or performance-critical software
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices such as version control, testing, andmodular software design
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
  • Ph.D. in computer science, physics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with HPC environments, cluster computing, or workflow orchestrationsystems
  • Familiarity with integration of quantum systems into classical/HPC infrastructures
  • Knowledge of quantum error correction (QEC) concepts and/or implementations
