We are looking for a Quantum Engineer (Junior to Senior level) with an experimental background to join our Calibration and Benchmarking team, focusing on improving the performance of superconducting Quantum Processing Units (QPUs).
In this role, you will work hands‑on with quantum hardware to develop, optimize, and execute calibration and benchmarking protocols. Your work will directly influence QPU performance by identifying bottlenecks, improving calibration strategies, and providing critical feedback to design, simulation, and fabrication teams.
You will play a key role in validating new QPU architectures and supporting IQM's roadmap toward high-performance and scalable quantum computing systems.
M.Sc. degree in Physics, Quantum Engineering, or a related field.
Ph.D. degree in Physics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in quantum technologies.
Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent industrial experience in quantum technologies.
