Zusammenfassung

Gimica is seeking a QA Lead to own quality across ~70 live Unity mobile games. You’ll define the QA strategy, scale automation, and manage release processes to keep a large portfolio running smoothly.

You’ll lead a QA team, collaborate with Game Engineering, Design, Producing, and external partners, and drive quality across shared systems like Firebase analytics and backend services.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in mobile game QA, including leading QA teams and driving QA strategy for live products.
• Experience building and scaling in‑engine test automation for Unity mobile games (AltTester/AltUnity, Unity Test Framework, or similar).
• Hands‑on experience with device‑level, cross‑app UI automation (Appium with UIAutomator2/XCUITest) for end‑to‑end flows.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar).
• Strong understanding of release management for live mobile games (staged rollouts, gating, rollback strategies).
• Experience with Firebase (Crashlytics, Remote Config, A/B Testing) and analytics validation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure for QA (device farms, emulators, labs) and modern QA processes.
• Familiarity with Jira, Notion; collaboration across cross‑functional teams.
• Bonus: Backend/API testing and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

We're looking for a QA Lead to join Gimica, our in‑house game studio focused on creating casual, timeless mobile experiences with lasting appeal.

In this role, you'll own quality across our portfolio of ~70 live Unity mobile games. This is not a single‑title QA role - our games each have their own release cycle while sharing SDKs, Firebase configuration, analytics, monetization, and backend services.

You'll define and scale our QA strategy, automation, and release processes to help a small team safely support a large portfolio. From driving test automation and release readiness to improving the shared systems that power every game, you'll play a key role in ensuring we deliver high‑quality experiences to millions of players.

Job Requirements

5+ years of experience in mobile game QA, including leading QA teams and driving QA strategy for live products.

• Proven experience building and scaling in‑engine test automation for Unity mobile games (AltTester/AltUnity, Unity Test Framework, or similar), ideally packaged as a shared test harness or SDK that can be rolled out across many titles without per‑game code changes.
• Hands‑on experience with device‑level, cross‑app UI automation (e.g. Appium with UIAutomator2/XCUITest) for end‑to‑end flows that span multiple apps, such as a game handing off to a companion app, store and permission dialogs, or deep links, including apps without source access.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar).
• Strong understanding of release management for live mobile games, including staged rollouts, release gating, rollback strategies, and post‑launch monitoring.
• Experience with Firebase (Crashlytics, Remote Config, A/B Testing), analytics validation, and shared mobile SDKs.
• Comfortable with Android & iOS debugging, performance testing, Charles Proxy, and mobile diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure for QA (device farms, emulators, or physical device labs) and modern QA processes.
• Experience leading QA teams (internal, external, or both), mentoring engineers, and driving adoption across cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with Jira, Notion, and modern engineering workflows.
• Bonus: Backend/API testing, maintaining large portfolios of live games, and using AI tools to improve engineering workflows.
