Zusammenfassung

Mane Energy is seeking an experienced Project Operations Manager to lead site operations for a major data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. You will oversee construction activities, coordinate internal teams and supply chain partners, and ensure delivery aligns with programme, safety, quality and commercial targets.

The role requires 10+ years of large-scale construction leadership, strong general contractor experience and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across CSA

Qualifikationen

  • Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
  • 10+ years' experience managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong experience working for a main contractor/general contractor.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Thorough understanding of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and their interfaces with construction.
  • Strong site operations, planning and logistics experience.
  • Proven ability to manage teams through effective leadership, delegation and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

  • Overseeing all construction activities taking place across the site.

  • Working closely with the Project Director/Manager and Commercial Manager to achieve key project KPIs.
  • Conducting regular site walks and identifying key operational issues, risks and opportunities.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with the client and ensuring contractual obligations are delivered.
  • Planning site logistics, access, facilities and resources throughout the various stages of the project.
  • Ensuring the site is appropriately prepared and resourced before works commence.
  • Promoting a strong Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality culture across the project.
  • Supporting quality initiatives including Right First Time delivery.
  • Ensuring appropriate personnel and controls are in place for high-risk activities, including lifting operations, temporary works and controlled operations.
  • Leading project target programme development and construction sequencing with the planning team.
  • Coordinating activities across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Monitoring project constraints and implementing solutions to protect the programme.
  • Working closely with the commercial team to understand scope changes and support effective change management.
  • Managing relationships with supply chain partners and resolving operational issues.
  • Attending and contributing to client, operational, planning, coordination and senior leadership meetings.
  • Ensuring actions are clearly assigned, tracked and closed within agreed timescales.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Operations Manager to join a major data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany.

This is a senior site leadership role with responsibility for overseeing construction operations across a large-scale, multidisciplinary project. You will work closely with the senior project team, client, consultants and supply chain partners to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality and commercial requirements.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working for a main/general contractor, with a strong understanding of civil, structural and architectural construction and the interfaces between these disciplines and MEP services.

The Role

As Project Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination and delivery of site operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced construction professional with the leadership capability to oversee operations on a major, complex project.

Essential Requirements
  • Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
  • 10+ years' experience managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong experience working for a main contractor/general contractor.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Thorough understanding of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and their interfaces with construction.
  • Strong site operations, planning and logistics experience.
  • Proven ability to manage teams through effective leadership, delegation and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality requirements.

  • Good computer and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site operations.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns where required.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to demanding project deadlines.
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects.
  • International construction experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale CSA and MEP interfaces.
  • Knowledge of collaborative planning and Last Planner methodologies.
  • Experience with major client and supply chain environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction logistics and project mobilisation.
  • Experience managing high-risk construction activities.
