ZEISS is seeking a Project Manager to drive execution of digital and AI-enabled initiatives across manufacturing businesses. You will collaborate with SBUs, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to translate strategy into actionable plans and scalable solutions from concept to delivery.

The role emphasizes managing innovation programs, validating opportunities, and enabling rapid experimentation with real-market feedback.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in business or manufacturing.
• 3–5 years in management consulting, innovation, or product/manufacturing roles.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and communicating with senior leaders.

• Lead innovation and innovation transformation projects and workstreams from opportunity assessment through implementation and scaling
• Identify, validate, and develop digital and AI-enabled business opportunities in manufacturing and operations together with ZEISS SBUs
• Enable SBUs to experiment quickly and learn from early market and user feedback through real in-market experiments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions that create measurable business value, operational excellence, and superior customer experiences
• Drive the adoption of (Gen)AI and other digital technologies to improve processes, decision making, and business outcomes across manufacturing-related domains
• Contribute to the design of operating models, processes, and governance structures that enable the sustainable adoption of digital and AI-powered solutions
• Advise business stakeholders on emerging technologies and innovation initiatives to support informed decision making and transformation success

Your Role:

• As a Project Manager, you drive the execution of digital and AI-enabled initiatives that create measurable business value for ZEISS's manufacturing businesses
• Work closely with Strategic Business Units (SBUs), business stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities, validate concepts, and deliver scalable solutions from idea to implementation
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, ensuring alignment, transparency, and successful delivery
• By managing innovation initiatives from concept to execution, you help accelerate digital transformation and realize tangible business impact across ZEISS

You will:

Your Profile:

• You have an excellent university degree, preferably in business and/or manufacturing
• 3-5 years of professional experience in management consulting, innovation management, product management, manufacturing excellence, or related business functions
• Experience in managing projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders in cross-functional environments
• A solid understanding of digital and AI-driven business models, digital products, and emerging AI technologies
• Experience or strong interest in how (Gen)AI is reshaping manufacturing, operations, business processes, and innovation activities
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, structure complex challenges, and translate ideas into actionable plans
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and diverse teams
• Experience working in international environments; exposure to the APAC region is a plus
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
